The Alabasta arc is very good so far， I love the country’s history and the stakes are high。 Although I like Ace it is weird we have never seen him beforehand， but the character design is amazing。 Chopper is so cute， I hope he gets more spotlight！

This is one of the strongest volumes so far。 Finishing up our story with Chopper you get his full backstory。 It's both heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once。 The storyline in the past is the best part though the one running in current time is nearly jut as good。 Then we get to a short break where we see Ace， Luffy's brother， which is great。 Also more of Smoker is always a plus。 Then we get to see Vivi's past with kazo， and it's really well done。 Infact I'm loving this opening to the next ma This is one of the strongest volumes so far。 Finishing up our story with Chopper you get his full backstory。 It's both heartwarming and heartbreaking all at once。 The storyline in the past is the best part though the one running in current time is nearly jut as good。 Then we get to a short break where we see Ace， Luffy's brother， which is great。 Also more of Smoker is always a plus。 Then we get to see Vivi's past with kazo， and it's really well done。 Infact I'm loving this opening to the next major arc more than I remember。 Here's to a kickass action packed volume！ A 4。5 out of 5。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 The First Two Volumes we start off with Luffy and Sanji trying to get Nami to the witch doctor on the top of drum drum mountain。 When they finally get her there they had another problem the king that lived on drum drum mountain apparently he wanted his castle back from the witch and beef with Luffy and his crew。 A battle took place and needless to say Luffy won with the help from Chopper a talking reindeer。 Which the guys tried to eat earlier， that made me hold my sides laughing it was so funny。 The First Two Volumes we start off with Luffy and Sanji trying to get Nami to the witch doctor on the top of drum drum mountain。 When they finally get her there they had another problem the king that lived on drum drum mountain apparently he wanted his castle back from the witch and beef with Luffy and his crew。 A battle took place and needless to say Luffy won with the help from Chopper a talking reindeer。 Which the guys tried to eat earlier， that made me hold my sides laughing it was so funny。 But after the battle Luffy asked him to join and with a little pros-wading from Nami Chopper said yes。 They leave the ice land and continued to Princess Vivi's home land。 Then we get a glimpse of the leader and second in command of Baroque Works， Mr。 One and Mrs All Sundays， briefly。 In volume 18 They finally introduced Luffy's older brother Ace。 He's not my favorite but he's close to it like number 3。 in this volume they have the guys stopping at a busy port for supplies and of course in Luffy's case for something to eat。 Where they attract to attention form the navy and the attention from his big brother Ace。 Who works for Wight Beards crew another pirate captain who wants to be king of the pirates。 。。。more

Monkey。D。Luffy and there crew is up to no good again in the grand line taking a step back from the baroque works ark Luffy and his crew dock on a new island with no name what adventures will they have and when will we get back to the baroque work ark find out in the next chapter （ sorry for anyone that bad joke annoyed ） now I am rating this book （ “drumroll please” ） 5 stars

Still building the team and the world。 Theres beginning to be a trend with the story （ guy appears different island world， fighting mobe to the next）。 Still fun at this stage but if it continues like this for the next few volumes it might get a little stale。

I love these old story arcs in One Piece。 They're so gripping， and the characters are so easy to fall in love with and care so much about。 Even now that the current story has progressed quite beyond these arcs， I still find the Baroque Works story line to be my favorite。 I remember watching the anime for the first time and I didn't know how to handle all the excitement。 lol My sister and I would watch episode after episode， sitting on the edge of our seats。 Not many shows can get me so excited l I love these old story arcs in One Piece。 They're so gripping， and the characters are so easy to fall in love with and care so much about。 Even now that the current story has progressed quite beyond these arcs， I still find the Baroque Works story line to be my favorite。 I remember watching the anime for the first time and I didn't know how to handle all the excitement。 lol My sister and I would watch episode after episode， sitting on the edge of our seats。 Not many shows can get me so excited like this one！ I really wanted these characters to triumph so badly。 That's why I love One Piece so much。 It's so easy to get caught up in it and to actually care about the people and what happens to them。 It's surprising， because even if the character hasn't had much screen time， Eiichiro Oda knows exactly how to get you to care about their plight。Manga isn't my favorite story medium。 I prefer actual books or TV shows， but it's still pretty great。 The values and lessons that are taught in this manga are definitely ones people need to hear。 I can't say that these pirates are my role models， but they are extremely inspiring！ 。。。more
